Always been interested in learning how to accurately draw a human head and test your skills on a live model?

MJAC is excited to present a one-day workshop where you are guided through the basics of classical human head drawing by experienced drawer, Nidas Arkusauskas. He will demonstrate a typical portrait rendering to establish a clearer understanding of the anatomy.

Nidas will dedicate time with each participant and share his insight and expertise, giving you the confidence to practice these skills further. This workshop is designed for both adults and teenagers with no prior drawing experience.

In this hands-on fibre art workshop, combine the splendour of unspun wool fibres with the structural integrity of coiling techniques, to create a vessel. After the coiling is complete, use the ancient art of felting to transform the works into firm, sculptural forms. A Convergence of Visual Art, Poetry, Voice and Film

The launch of Tracing Gondwana, in partnership with Gondwana Link, celebrates the ancient landscapes of the Great Southern – one of the richest Biodiversity Hotspots on the planet. A collaboration between printmakers Nikki Green, Monika Lukowska and writer Reneé Pettitt-Schipp, has resulted in a body of work responding to the current climate emergency. A series of events will complement the opening and build awareness of the area’s ecological and cultural vulnerability.
